There are several ways to reach the marker from State Highway 28 to the north/northwest. The most direct route would be to turn off of the highway at the Winter Road junction at N42 30.222 W108 47.472. Travel southeastward on Winter Road for about 1.6 miles to a road junction; take a right turn and travel southward for another 0.45 miles to another road junction. Take a right (southwest) turn and drive for about 0.10 miles to a power pole on the left (southeast) side of the road. The benchmark is about 55 feet southeast of the centerline of the road and about 20 feet south of the power pole. It is set in the top of a boulder that rises about 8 inches above the ground.
