[EN] "Here they made lead shot, releasing a drop of lead from their height and when it fell to the bottom it had solidified into a spherical shape.
Its construction dates back to 1825, after the mining company of Mr. Ignacio Figueroa and Mr. Bernardo Casamayor was formed.
It was in 1849 that the manufacturing of lead ammunition was at its peak.
Manufacturing was carried out by melting lead in a boiler at the top of the tower, which was then lowered through a perforated hull to acquire the shape of a pellet.
At the base of the tower it was cooled in vats of water and passed over some boards to give it the final touch.
Its operation lasted until 1882.
In the second body of the tower we see a plaque from 1902 that pays tribute to D. Ignacio Figueroa, for his help in the Cuban War."
