Taken from the website, "St. John’s Church was the first to permanently establish religious services, and the first to erect a church building, in the borough of Red Lion. From its beginnings in 1874 when Alice Dietz organized the first Sunday School, St. John’s has grown - in membership, in its buildings, and in its outreach to the Red Lion area community.
First known as St. John’s Reformed Church, we became St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church, following a merger in 1934. Today, we are St. John’s United Church of Christ. The UCC was formed in 1957 with the merger of the Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Congregational Christian Church.
During the year 2023, we will witness the love of our Lord and Savior for our 141 years in the borough of Red Lion."
