Since the Bridge Hunter passed away, finding reliable information on a bridge is almost impossible.

County of bridge: Montgomery County
Location of bridge: MO-E, half-way between Gamma & Olney

This Pony Truss bridge over the Cuivre River is lacking a bridge plate. So much information is not available. This bridge was built in 1952. The MoDoT structure umber is 7598. It is structurally deficient, and needs work. Best info link I could find is: Bridge Inspections

What exactly is a pony truss bridge?. You had heard the term before, but maybe never understood what it meant. In fact, it is quite simple. A pony truss is a truss bridge which allows traffic through the truss, but the top of the bridge is not joined together with cross braces.

Some say this is in Bellflower, MO; and some say Middleton, MO. Actually, these two towns are the only one close with a post office. Bellflower is about 9 miles SW of bridge; and Middletown is about 7 miles NW of the bridge. The ghost town of Gamma and the almost gone town of Olney are closer and almost equal in distance from this bridge.
