These Boots are a joint fundraising project of the Cheyenne Depot Museum Foundation and the Downtown Development Authority, and was produced by local artists. Several of these eight-foot-tall cowboy boots were placed in and around downtown Cheyenne.

The Happy Birthday Cheyenne Boot was created to commemorate the 150th Birthday of Cheyenne, WY and is part of “These Boots Are Made for Talking” initiative. The boot is installed just outside the west entrance to the City of Cheyenne Municipal Building Hall. The Big Boots Initiative is a joint public art project of the Cheyenne Depot Museum Foundation and the Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority.
