“Maricopa Wild Horses,” is a city-wide sculpture project and arts initiative by City Manager Rick Horst and was unveiled at City Hall. Sculptures of horses decorated by local artists were presented to the public.

This sculpture by artist Pam Robb, titled “Mouth of the Arroyo,” measures 51? tall and 84? long. The horse is colored brown with numerous Indian symbols along with an Arizona state flag on its back. There is pictured a Gambles quail with some chicks on its right side, a white sock on its left rear leg, a desert scene on the left side of its neck, and Kokopelli is displayed on its right rear quarter. Its horseshoe and stars and the word RIO
