The cross is a "Ringed Cross" style with a sword running down it's length. It is a memorial to the six men of the Parish of Neen Sollars who fell in the Great War - World War I.
During the 100th anniversary celebrations a life-size metal profile of a WWI soldier was added by the side of the Cross.
