EN: "City Hall built at the end of the century. 19, designed by architect José Pereira Viana, with a rectangular plan and two-story facades. It has great sobriety and simplicity of lines, with regular fenestration, presenting overlapping openings on all facades, only with a richer rhythm on the main one, where the arch modinature alternates with the straight lintel topped by a pediment, this at the level of the noble floor . Also a reference to the balcony guard of these windows, as it is decorated with finials and scrolled motifs, in successive modules. While the corners on the main façade are curved, those on the back have a sharp edge. The side facades are torn by rectilinear openings, initially corresponding to those on the first floor as doors, which are now closed and transformed into sill windows, as denoted by the stonework."
