Le monument commémoratif est une stèle en stuc polychrome. Cette stèle de forme cintrée dans sa partie supérieure est bordée par deux pilastres corniers. Elle comporte en son centre en rouge, classés approximativement dans l’ordre des dates de décès et ordonnés en deux colonnes, la première lettre du prénom et le nom, des 37 enfants de Méobecq, morts pendant la premières guerre mondiale. Cette liste ce termine par l’inscription «PRIONS POUR EUX » écrite en rouge.
Une autre inscription en lettres rouges (« AUX ENFANTS DE MEOBECQ MORTS POUR LA FRANCE ») occupe sur une ligne l’intégralité du bandeau constituant l’arc du cintre. En dessous deux anges réalisés en bas-relief, identifiables par leur paire d’ailes sont agenouillés face à face de trois quart, dans des nuages, de part et d’autres d’une croix latine ayant en son centre un triangle et étant entourée de rayons (ces deux derniers éléments sont dorés). L’ange de gauche semble tenir de ses deux mains une palme, celui de droite qui a sa main droite levée montre la croix et tient dans sa main gauche contre sa jambe une couronne (palme et couronne sont dorées). La base du nuage forme deux cintres parallèles réunis en leur centre par ce qui semble être une petite tête d’ange.
Sur les bords, chaque pilastre, dont les éléments horizontaux formant ressaut sont dorés, porte quatre rainures verticales elles aussi dorées. Le chapiteau au sommet de chaque pilastre porte une date (celui de gauche porte en rouge l’inscription «1914 » et celui de droite «1918 ») et supporte une urne recouverte partiellement d’un voile.
Devant les pilastres se tiennent debout de face deux hommes réalisés en haut relief : à gauche un gaulois, à droite un «Poilu ».
Le gaulois qui est moustachu, a des cheveux bouclés et porte un casque à cimier avec deux ailes. Une cape déborde uniquement sur son épaule gauche. Il porte en dessous un vêtement juste au corps avec des manches courtes, un pantalon et des chaussures fermées. Ses deux mains s’appuient sur le pommeau d’une épée longe à double tranchant, à garde droite, tenue verticalement et dont la pointe repose sur le sol entre ces deux pieds.
Le «Poilu » porte un casque de type Adrian avec l’insigne de la grenade surmontée d’une flamme. Les pans inférieurs de sa capote relevés dévoilent un pantalon ample et des bandes molletière au-dessus de ses brodequins. Le combattant porte sur sa capote des bretelles de suspension et un ceinturon qui soutiennent à l’avant deux cartouchières et contre le flanc gauche un porte-fourreau avec à l’intérieur sa baionnette. Contre son côté droit, l’homme porte un gourde.
Concernant la position de ses mains au niveau de la poitrine, alors que sur un monument similaire situé dans l’église de la commune d’Ahuillé en Mayenne le «Poilu» à ses mains posées sur l’extrémité du canon de son fusil dont la crosse repose à côté de son pied droit, ici sur le monument de Méobecq la disposition des mains est exactement la même, mais point de trace du fusil.
Sous la liste des défunts, au centre de la composition deux autres personnages sont représentés : un aumônier portant un callot sur lequel est figuré la croix de teinte rouge des personnels soignants et le blessé dont ils s’occupe. L’aumônier qui est agenouillé tient dans sa main gauche en hauteur une croix latine, pendant qu’il soutient de la main droite la tête du combattant « mortellement blessé ». Le blessé, est équipé comme l’autre «Poilu », mais ne porte cependant pas de casque, ni d’arme. Une tache rouge sur sa poitrine au-dessus de la cartouchière indique la localisation de sa blessure. Appuyé contre un ressaut de terrain l’homme porte derrière lui son sac à dos.
La partie inférieure du monument est ornée d’un trophée militaire. Deux drapeaux tricolores, entrecroisés avec deux branches dorées (probablement des feuilles de chêne et des rameaux d’oliviers) sont dominés par un casque de type Adrian tourné vers la gauche teinté en gris. En dessous une Croix de guerre est représentrée dorée suspendue à son ruban portant une palme.
La base de chaque pilastre porte une date en lettres grises (celle de gauche porte l’inscription «1939 » et celle de droite «1945 »).
Sous le trophée militaire, sur le socle du monument, sont indiqués également en lettres grises la première lettre du prénom et le nom des deux combattants morts pendant la seconde guerre mondiale.

The memorial monument is a polychrome stucco stele. This curved stele in its upper part is bordered by two corner pilasters. It has in its center in red, classified approximately in the order of the dates of death and ordered in two columns, the first letter of the first name and the last name, of the 37 children of Méobecq, who died during the First World War. This list ends with the inscription “LET’S PRAY FOR THEM” written in red.
Another inscription in red letters (“TO THE CHILDREN OF MEOBECQ MORTS POUR LA FRANCE”) occupies the entire strip constituting the arc of the hanger in one line. Below, two angels made in bas-relief, identifiable by their pair of wings, are kneeling face to face in three quarters, in clouds, on either side of a Latin cross having a triangle in its center and being surrounded rays (these last two elements are golden). The angel on the left seems to hold a palm tree in both hands, the one on the right who has his right hand raised shows the cross and holds a crown in his left hand against his leg (palm and crown are golden). The base of the cloud forms two parallel arches joined in their center by what appears to be a small angel's head.
On the edges, each pilaster, whose horizontal elements forming a projection are gilded, has four vertical grooves which are also gilded. The capital at the top of each pilaster bears a date (the one on the left bears the inscription “1914” in red and the one on the right “1918”) and supports an urn partially covered with a veil.
In front of the pilasters stand facing two men made in high relief: on the left a Gaul, on the right a "Poilu".
The Gaul who is mustachioed, has curly hair and wears a crested helmet with two wings. A cape overflows only on his left shoulder. Underneath he wears a close-fitting garment with short sleeves, trousers and closed shoes. His two hands rest on the pommel of a double-edged long sword, with a straight hilt, held vertically and whose point rests on the ground between these two feet.
The "Poilu" wears an Adrian type helmet with the insignia of the grenade surmounted by a flame. The lower sides of his raised hood reveal loose trousers and puttees above his boots. The combatant wears suspension straps and a belt on his hood which support two cartridge pouches in front and against the left side a scabbard holder with his bayonet inside. Against his right side, the man carries a gourd.
Concerning the position of his hands at chest level, while on a similar monument located in the church of the commune of Ahuillé in Mayenne the “Poilu” has his hands placed on the end of the barrel of his rifle whose butt rests next to his right foot, here on the Méobecq monument the arrangement of the hands is exactly the same, but there is no trace of the rifle.
Below the list of the deceased, in the center of the composition two other characters are represented: a chaplain wearing a cap on which is depicted the red cross of the nursing staff and the injured person they are caring for. The chaplain who is kneeling holds a Latin cross in his left hand, while he supports the head of the “mortally wounded” fighter with his right hand. The injured man is equipped like the other “Poilu”, but does not wear a helmet or weapon. A red spot on his chest above the cartridge belt indicates the location of his injury. Leaning against a rise in the ground, the man carries his backpack behind him.
The lower part of the monument is decorated with a military trophy. Two tricolor flags, crisscrossed with two golden branches (probably oak leaves and olive branches) are dominated by an Adrian-type helmet facing left, tinted gray. Below a Golden War Cross is shown hanging from its ribbon carrying a palm.
The base of each pilaster bears a date in gray letters (the one on the left bears the inscription “1939” and the one on the right “1945”).
Under the military trophy, on the base of the monument, the first letter of the first name and the name of the two combatants who died during the Second World War are also indicated in gray letters.
