The concrete Hotine-style pedestal is in great condition as it on private property. On coming into Bendemeer I had kept a lookout for this Trig point at the position as previously listed by GCA. I'd stopped at a likely property ("Avondale" - the name of which I have a few close associations!), approached the owner, and then described my desire to photograph the trig. He was sure that it was not at position that had been indicated on a knoll directly behind. I accepted his response and headed off to Bendemeer, only to be surprised when I went past the next street and looked to my left and saw what I was sure would be TP6461.

I went to check at the closest house, but with nobody at home I yelled over the fence to the neighbour, and found out where to go. There at the end of Havannah Street I found John Keen working on some of his equipment. On explaining my desire to take a photo of Cockburn trig he offered for me to drive right up to it. Well I found an electric fence across the hillside two-thirds to the top, so ducked under it and walked on up past a small group of interested horses. There I found this well presented Trig point.

So I subsequently changed the coordinates on Geocaching Australia, with a reference of contacting the owner.
