Radeln nach Zahlen nach niederländischem Vorbild ist nun auch im Kreis Viersen möglich. Im März 2015 wurden im Kreisgebiet insgesamt 116 Knotenpunkte ergänzend zum bestehenden Radwege-Netz ausgewiesen. Radfahrer können im Knotenpunktsystem des Kreises Viersen eine Strecke von insgesamt 519 Kilometer zurücklegen. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass sich auch auswärtige Besucher ohne Ortskenntnis im Radwandernetz zurechtfinden. Alle 116 Knotenpunktstandorte haben einen rot-weißen Aufsatz mit entsprechender Knotenpunktnummer. Quadratische rot-weiße Plaketten unterhalb der Zielwegweiser zeigen den Weg zu den nächsten Knotenpunkten. Eine weiß-grüne Plakette weist den Weg zu einem Knotenpunkt in den Niederlanden. Die Knotenpunkte erleichtern die individuelle Tourenplanung. Radfahrer haben die Möglichkeit, sich ganz einfach und spontan eine eigene Radtour nach dem Prinzip "Radeln nach Zahlen" zusammenstellen.

Knotenpunkt 19 befindet sich in Kempen am Rahmweg.

Wohin kommt man von hier aus?

• Norden: Knotenpunkt 27 in Richtung Kerken-Eyell und 37 in Richtung Kerken-Stenden
• Süden: Knotenpunkt 8 (VIE) in Richtung Kempen, 35 an der L362 an den Grenzen der Kreise Kleve und Viersen sowie 43 in Richtung Kempen-Ziegelheide
• Westen: Knotenpunkt 36 in Richtung Wachtendonk-Gelinter
• Osten: Knotenpunkt 13 (VIE) in Richtung Kempen-St. Hubert und 41 (VIE) in Richtung Kempen-Escheln

Cycling by numbers based on the Dutch model is now also possible in the district of Viersen. In March 2015, a total of 116 junctions were designated in the district area to supplement the existing cycle path network.
