Current Real Estate view:
"Original home of the Founder of Washington MO, Ms. Lucinda Owens. Built in 1838, overlooking the Mighty Missouri River on well over an acre of ground! Step back in time to this Grand Ol' Lady, and be treated to gracious entry halls and spacious room sizes, most with a wood burning fireplace. You will be in awe of the magnificent original wood flooring and 9' ceilings throughout the home. This period home features 7 entry doors for added ventilation when built, and now add to the flow of the floor plan, and make for delightful summer breezes. Quite impressive is the three story open stair case in the front entry, as well as the rear stairs, rising from the hearth room which features an awesome built in China cabinet. There is just the right mix of old and new, with the addition of the large kitchen featuring two electric ovens, second gas cook top, trash compactor and large pantry. Sure to please the cook when naturally, friends and family will be wanting to come for a visit!" ~ realtor.com
