Two interpretive displays within Hadley Gardens mention this waterfall being solar-powered, which I found as very unique and interesting.
One of them reads:
Welcome to Hadley Gardens
Hadley Gardens honor Willis Hadley's legacy-
to restore, protect and enhance native plants and wildlife.
The Gardens highlight biodiverse habitats of the northcoast, designed
within an urban setting. Many local artisans helped craft this place of
refuge--guided by sustainable 'green building' practices--from
repurposed materials to the solar-powered waterfall.
A second interpretive display in front of the solar panel reads:
Smartflower Technology
If you stop to watch, you may catch the Smartflower in action. Designed to track the sun's movement from east to west, it produces 40% more energy than standard solar panels. The waterfall pump, irrigation and garden lighting are all powered by this solar system.
