The Albert Fuller Cabin was a stop on the Underground Railway, used by slaves fleeing Missouri to the free state of Iowa. The so-called "Battle of the Spurs" between John Brown's abolitionists and Kansas deputies occurred here. This artwork depicts fleeing slaves inspired by the North Star, which they could follow to freedom. The site also includes a mock-up of the cabin. Alas, there is no parking save at the side of the road.
