DE: Nach dem Abriss der Häuser am nördlichen Ende der Fußgängerzone entstand dort eine Freifläche. Diese wurde mit Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder, großen Sitzflächen zum Verweilen und ausruhen sowie etwas Grünfläche ausgestattet. Auch ein sehr großes Insektenhotel wurde relativ mittig in der Fläche rund um ein Servicegebäude mit Hilfe des Fuglelund Naturcenters eingerichtet.
Mehrere etwa 15cm tiefe Rahmen von knapp zwei Metern Höhe umspannen das etwa 2m breite und 3,5m lange Gebäude. In den Rahmen befinden sich mehrere Fächer mit durchlöcherten Ziegeln, angebohrten Holzblöcken, Kiefernzapfen, Holzröhren und locker aufgeschichteten Holzstücken hinter einem Drahtgeflecht und bieten so Platz für viele Insekten.
Mit einer Feier der Stadt im September 2022 zur Einweihung des Parks wurde auch das Insektenhotel offiziell eingeweiht.

EN: After the demolition of the houses at the northern end of the pedestrian zone, an open space was created there. The space was equipped with play facilities for children, large seating areas to linger and rest, and some green space. A very large insect hotel was also set up relatively centrally in the area around a service building with the help of the Fuglelund Nature Center.
Several frames about 15 cm deep and almost two meters high span the building, which is about 2 m wide and 3.5 m long. The frames contain several compartments with perforated bricks, drilled blocks of wood, pine cones, wooden tubes and pieces of wood loosely stacked behind a wire mesh and thus offer space for many insects.
The insect hotel was officially inaugurated with a city celebration in September 2022 to mark the inauguration of the park.
