The Michigan History Center includes the Michigan History Museum, the Archives of Michigan and the Museum Store. The museum tells the stories of Michigan's past, from the end of the Ice Age through the late 20th century, in special exhibits and 26 permanent galleries. Visitor favorites include a 3-story relief map, a mural of traditional Anishinaabe lifeways and culture, a U.P. copper mine, a one-room school and a 1950s auto show.
