Photos taken on 29 October 2022. The plaque is located at the "gate" or arched entrance immediately east of the Cabrillo Bridge, on the west side of Balboa Park. The plaque is facing due east towards the main plaza. The plaque is a bronze installation which features a sail boat that was likely commanded by Captan Juan Rodriquez Cabrillo, who first set foot in what would become California in San Diego on September 28, 1542.
