Avon Cemetery is on the west side of Highway 59, just north of Avon (which in turn is a bit north of the much larger DeQueen). There are about four hundred memorials here. The cemetery is active and well tended. It is said that the cemetery is haunted by the spirit of a young mother whose baby died nearby.
