[FIN] Päätös Ristinummen hautausmaan perustamisesta, parin kilometrin päähän Yläneen kirkosta, tehtiin vuonna 1892. Terveyssäädökset aiheuttivat 1889 sen, että yläneläiset määrättiin luopumaan vanhasta hautausmaastaan kirkon vieressä. Vanha hautausmaa alkoi myös käydä ahtaaksi. Tänne Ristimäen hautausmaalle kuitenkin haudattiin lähinnä kirkosta eronneita, itsemurhan tehneitä, toisuskovia vielä sen jälkeen kun kirkon viereen oli saatu tilaa uusille haudoille. Viimeinen hautaus tapahtui vuonna 1982.
Ristinummen hautausmaa on virallinen hautausmaa, joka ei ole enää käytössä. Sen kivimuuri on lähes kokonaan kadonnut. Alue on täysin metsän peittämä. Vain muutama polku kulkee siellä uteliaiden ihmisten kulkemana. Osa hautaristeistä on rikkoontunut, eikä kaikki hautakivet ole enää kunnossa. Alueen portti on joskus kunnostettu.
Paikalle ei pääse autolla eikä seurakunta suosittele portille saakka ajamista. Lähellä olevalle urheilukentälle voi pysäköidä. Keskellä hautausmaata on myös geokätkö: GC30P71

[EN] The decision to establish the Ristinummi cemetery, a couple of kilometers away from the Ylänee church, was made in 1892. In 1889, health regulations caused the Ylänee people to be ordered to give up their old cemetery next to the church. The old cemetery also started to get crowded. However, people who left the church, committed suicide, and other believers were buried here in the Ristinummi cemetery even after space had been found next to the church for new graves. The last burial took place in 1982.
Ristinummi cemetery is an official cemetery that is no longer in use. Its stone wall has almost completely disappeared. The area is completely covered by forest. Only a few paths pass there, by curious people. Some of the grave crosses are broken, and not all gravestones are in good condition. The gate of the area has sometimes been renovated. There is information board on path leading to cemetery direction for The Pöytyä cultural history path Y2, which indicates this cemetery is nearby.
You cannot get there by car and the congregation does not recommend driving to the gate. You can park at the nearby sports field. There is also a geocache in the middle of the cemetery: GC30P71
