Deze Hawker Typhoon was van het 439 Squadron. De vliegenier, Joseph-Anatole Cote werd op 14 januari 1945 neergeschoten door Duitse FLAK maar overleefde de crash en de oorlog.
Joseph-Anatole Cote nam aan het begin van de Tweede Wereldoorlog dienst bij de RCAF en werd piloot. Hij werd opgeleid in Trois-Riverieres en in Trenton. Na zijn uitzending naar Engeland werd hij een airfield controller en vervolgens een actief piloot. Hij werd op 20 januari 1945 op deze locatie neergehaald maar overleefde de crash en de oorlog.
