The number of Czech vocational schools in the Prague suburb was further multiplied by the Art Nouveau building of the Czech State Industrial School in Resslova Street. The original design of the building was drawn up by J. Pfeffermann in 1909 and modified two years later by Jan Emanuel Jerábek.

The Czech State Industrial School was established on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Trades from a two-year building school opened in October 1910. After 1918, master and continuation schools for the construction and woodworking trades were established within its framework. ¨

After 1920, a Master School of Mechanical Engineering was gradually formed within the State Industrial School, which became independent in 1927 and merged with a similar German school. The original school then adopted the name of the First State Industrial School in Ceské Budejovice. In 1931, the first year of the four-year Vocational School of Construction was opened in the school building in Resslova Street.

During the war the school was evicted from its building several times and classes were held in alternative premises lent by other Czech schools in the town. The State Industrial School of Construction returned to Resslova Street after the end of the war.
