There's not much left of Meers. Founded as a gold mining town in 1901, it was named for mine operator Andrew J. Meers. The only remaining structure is the Meers Store, famous nationwide for their "Meers Burger." The cemetery is home to perhaps fifty memorials, the most recent of which I saw was dated 2001.
