Old Beggs Lake is southeast of Beggs, and was once the water supply lake for the town. That role is now fulfilled by New Beggs Lake, east of town, and Old Beggs Lake is now a recreational area. This concrete dam at the southwest corner is what creates the lake. You can drive Old Beggs Lake Road from the north nearly all the way here, then walk the trail to below the deam.
