Windy Post Cross is one of many crosses across Dartmoor marking the route of the Abbots Way. The cross is 6 feet 8 inches tall and 2 feet 3 inches across the arms.
Near the cross is the Grimstone and Sortridge Leat and the Bulls Eye Stone, the purpose of the stone is to regulate the water running into the leat for nearby houses.
