Large realistic Crane sculpture in Traryd

verywhere in southern Sweden you can see cranes in summer. They stand in meadows and fields, in bogs or fly over lonely patches. Their distinctive call is often heard. The shy birds, however, are rarely seen close up and in detail. Here is a very nice sculpture of the bird in an old fountain basin (at least the fountain was not in use in May 2023).

The crane is the heraldic bird of the town of Traryd (see Waymark photos).

Große realistische Kranich Figur in Traryd

Überall im südlichen Schweden kann man im Sommer Kraniche sehen. Sie stehen auf Wiesen und Äckern, in Mooren oder fliegen über einsame Flecken. Ihr markanter Ruf ist häufig zu hören. Die scheuen Vögel jedoch sind selten nah und detailiert zu sehen. Hier ist eine sehr schöne Sculptur des Vogels in einem alten Springbrunnenbecken (jedenfalls war der Springbrunnen im Mai 2023 nicht in Betrieb).

Der Kranich ist der Wappenvogel der Stadt Traryd (siehe Waymarkfotos).
