This Gemini Boilerplate Drop-Test Vehicle was used to develop the re-entry parachute system for the manned Gemini spacecraft. The boilerplate simulated the external characteristics and weight of a manned Gemini capsule. Stencils on the capsule indicate that it participated in 12 upright drop test and 5 angled test.
