The Camp Calhoon Cemetery was created to honor the memory of the Union dead at Camp Calhoon. There are about 140 grave markers here. It is known that over 200 Union soldiers died at Camp Calhoun, far more from disease and accidents than from combat. There is a display at the front of the cemetery that relates some of the history here. The cemetery had fallen into disuse and was recovery efforts began in 1997; this restored cemetery was dedicated in May 2008.
