I first saw and recognised the Nautical Flagpole from seeing the flags flying over the flat roof of the RSL building while standing near the Swansea Channel. The spar is bolted to the mast, and has guys from higher on the mast. The base of the mast is housed behind a polished granite wall with gilt lettering of:
"IN MEMORY OFF THOSE WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE"
