The Weymouth Town Bridge is an 150' long bridge built in 1930. It is the sixth bridge built at this location. To the east is Weymouth Harbor and to the west is a Weymouth Marina. To enable boats to pass freely between the to areas the bridge opens every two hours. The twin leafs of the bridge each weigh 200 tons. They are counterbalanced to be open hydraulically. The bridge supports both pedestrian and two lands of vehicular traffic.
