Nice example of a Canadian-built Ram tank modified as an Armoured Personnel Carrier. It was used by Australian troops during the Second World War. The post D-day star used by Allied forces to distinguish vehicles from German vehicles, is purposely upside-down, as the Aussie crews did not want to be mistaken for Americans!
The Ram Kangaroo was a Canadian design by General Guy Simonds. It was completed in 1944 and in use soon after the Normandy invasion.
Location restrictions: The Canadian War Museum is open daily from 0900 - 1700 (1900 on Thursdays).
It is a fee site (free for Veterans).
