The Brownville Park is located just north of Arcadia, Florida along the Peace River. This park is a day use park, campground and boat ramp for use along the Peace River.
Two trails at this small rural park lead you through floodplain forest and hardwood hammocks along the Peace River. The short nature trail in the southwest corner of the park begins at the campground; walk south along the river and an idyllic, cypress-lined stream in search of songbirds, dragonflies and butterflies.
The Peace River is known as one of Florida's top fossil hunting spots, with some of the largest sharks teeth collected anywhere. This short trail gives hikers easy access to the river for fossil hunting.
There is a $2.00 day use fee to enter the park and vehicle parking is at the trailhead. Picnic tables are nearby along with restrooms and showers.
