By the entrance of the village there is this interesting monument to the men of the area who fought overseas. There is a list, grouped by territories and there is an exception for a fellow who served with the Portuguese UN contingent in Bosnia. There is a sign with the name of a fellow who actually fell on duty overseas, in Guinea.
