Gas Globe named "De Stip" (The Dot) is a 22-meter-high Industrial Monument and is out of use for 20 years.
Today, De Stip is a work of art in Emmen.

"The transformation of the initially blue gas globe took over 8 months, from the end of July 2009 to its unveiling on June 4, 2010, with a 2-month winter break. With 17 toyists from home and abroad, more than 6,000 hours were spent on painting the 1250m² surface in multiple layers."
