The Manchester Church of the Nazarene was originally the John Wesley Pentecostal Church organized in 1897. In 1957 a second church building was erected at 236 Main Street which is now the Cornerstone Christian School. The current building was build in 1988.
The modern style Manchester Church of the Nazarene has a main entrance behind a projecting pavilion in the middle of an arc segment created by a right triangle. The pediment above the projection is supported by a pair of Doric columns. The brick pavilion has a large arched window. On each side of the entrance are three tall arched windows.
Above the entrance is a is a three stage steeple. The base is a square tower. The middle stage is a belfry with a rectangular louvered opening. The steeple is topped by a hexagonal spire topped by a cross.
Continuing along the arc is a floor to ceiling window with two columns supporting the roof above the windows. Next is a brick projection with a tall arched window. The the ends of the arc the building has strait ares intersecting to form a right angle. The north strait side is blank. The south strait side has a stairway leading up to an auxiliary entrance flanked by a pair of arched windows.
