This Sentry 10V1T is located on Meadow Ln Dr in the West side of Montezuma, IA. It was installed in the Fall of 2022 as part of the Poweshiek County siren system upgrade, with the help of Missouri-based Table Rock Alerting Systems, a business specializing in civil defense sirens. In addition, this siren is the first ever production model of the 10V1T line. Poweshiek county replaced the majority of sirens, regardless of condition and age, with Sentry-branded products with Table Rock controls. In the nearby town of Guernsey, an extremely old siren was brought back to service after a period of inactivity. Poweshiek county decided to install an upgraded siren system due to the derecho in August 2020, and in memory of the two residents in the county who had their lives taken by the storm. Sirens in Poweshiek County are tested on the first Saturday of the month at 10 AM from March to November, unless there is inclement weather, where the test will be moved to the following Saturday instead.
