This flag was introduced with the municipal merger of Herznach and Ueken on 1.1.2023.

It consists of the previous municipal flags, which continue to be used as local flags. The jug comes from the coat of arms of Herznach, where it has the colors red, green and gold. It refers to to Verena chapel. The lower half is the former coat of arms of Ueken. The colors were kept. The wheel symbolizes the mill, which used to be located at the edge of the village.

I found the flag together with the one of Canton Aargau in front of a restaurant in the center of Herznach.

Diese Fahne wurde mit der Gemeindefusion von Herznach und Ueken auf den 1.1.2023 eigeführt.

Sie besteht aus den vorherigen Gemeindeflaggen, die weiterhin als Ortsflaggen Verwendung finden. Der Krug stammt aus dem Wappen von Herznach, wo es die Farben rot, grün und gold führt. Es verweist auf die Verenakapelle. Die untere Hälfte ist das ehemalige Wappen von Ueken. Die Farben wurden beibehalten. Das Rad symbolisiert die Mühle, die sich früher am Dorfrand befand.

Ich fand die Fahne zusammen mit der von Kanton Aargau vor einem Restaurant im Dorfzentrum von Herznach.
