Lychgate at the entrance to the graveyard on Old Hawkshead Road, Coniston. It consists of two stone walls, surmounted by a wooden cover with tiled roof.
This is the new parish cemetery, located about 200m from the original parish graveyard at St Andrew's church. The graveyard is the final resting place of Donald Malcolm Campbell, CBE (23 March 1921 – 4 January 1967), a British speed record breaker who broke eight absolute world speed records on water and on land in the 1950s and 1960s.
