The building occupied by the Shutesbury Community Church was built in 1827 as a Baptist church. In 1911 it became the Shutesbury Federated Church with members from the destroyed by fire Congregational church. In 1985 it became the Shutesbury Community Church. The church closed in 2006 for lack of membership but was revived in 2009 when local members of he community came together to restore the church. Today it is once again an active church.

The façade of the church is three bays wide which are separated by four Doric piasters. A central entrance is flanked by 2 by 2 pane double hung windows with green shutters. The second level has three mathing windows. The pediment has a 4 by 6 pane double hung windows with green shutters.
Rising from the gable roof is a three stage steeple. The lower stage is a square belfry tower with a green louvered window. The middle stage is an octagonal tower and the uppers stage is a smaller octagonal tower with a dome that is topped by a weather vane. The sides of the church are five bays deep with 2 by 2 pane double hung windows with green shutters on the lower and upper levels.
