Leon Polk was but twenty-six years old at the time of his death. His Woodman of the World grave marker is styled as a vertical tree stump with cut branches, decorated with crossed axe, wedge, and mallet, and set on a square base. The inscription is worn but still legible. The marker gives the name and number of his Woodman of the World Camp, and also bears a Dove of Peace. The WOTW marker for D. D. Heeth is a few feet south.
