Our first stop on our honeymoon was Medan in Sumatra. A very large city and the capital of Sumatra. We goty some time to see the sights and me and my wife walked to the Merdeka-square. This is a park with a field inside. At the northern end we found the giant letters of the city. The quare was just used for a festival and was kinda messy. The letters themselves were painted with bright colours but they weren't maintained very well. Also some graffiti on the stone plinth. Look for the cat in the second picture for the scale...
