This obelisk commemorates several members of the Stephen family and had their surname etched on all four faces of the base.
The west side commemorates J. A. and Sophia Stephen, the south side commemorates Frank A. and Ellen S. C. Stephen, the east side commemorates James Stephen, and the north side commemorates Jacob Stephen and Caroline Stephen.
Most of the Stephens were born in the 1800s and passed away in the early 1900s.
