‘South Bulli No.2’ is a handsome and well-proportioned tank locomotive built by Hudswell Clarke & Co. of Leeds in 1888. It is now behind a fence and not in good condition.

By 1891 it was in service at South Bulli Colliery hauling coal to the company jetty at Bellambi, including a flat crossing over the NSWGR Illawarra main line. Following closure of the jetty its route was truncated to exchange sidings with the NSWGR near Bellambi station. The loco was retired in April 1962 after a working life exceeding 70 years.

Sometime after 2006 the engine and carriages were placed behind a chain wire fence and it appears little maintenance has been carried out.

Some great formation can be found at this link.
