A bronze plaque to the right of the entrance to Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church has the image of a Vladimir I and his wife Anna. In 988 Valdimir I, the ruler of Kievan Rus, officially changed the state religion to Orthodox Christianity. He built the first church in Kiev in 989. Below are relief images of people being baptized.
