Wivell Bridge in Keswick was built in 2006 replacing the old bridge washed away by the 2005 floods in the Lake District.
The new bridge was lifted into place across the River Greta by Penrith Road in June after its predecessor was washed away in the January 2005 floods (

The bridge, which crosses into Fitz Park, cost £70,000, of which £50,000 was given by the Heritage Lottery Fund (
visit link) .
A plaque by the bridge reads -
