A zinc monument manufactured by the American Bronze Company of Chicago, IL depicts a Union Civil War soldier standing at parade rest on top of a stepped pedestal. He is wearing a moustache, cap and a long overcoat. He is looking straight ahead while holding his rifle by the barrel, left hand over right. The butt of the rifle is by his right foot. Around the steps of the pedestal are the names of Civil War Battles.
