At Cook House Gallery we are passionate about offering Lake District and contemporary art to delight all of our customers. We hope you will find that perfect piece of art with our:

Jeff Sudders, Lake District artist and Gallery Founder
We focus on our father’s (Jeff Sudders) art work in particular. Over his career, Jeff has collated and continues to add to, an extensive selection of prints cataloguing his exploration of different themes and painting styles; all of the Lake District. Jeff’s original paintings and prints are exclusive to our galleries.
We are also proud to exhibit original artwork by nationally recognised artists, including Edward Hersey and David Renshaw, whose work celebrates the beauty of the countryside.
In Autumn 2017, inspired by our love of art and our desire to showcase British crafts, we opened Cook House Crafts. We carefully select and display contemporary crafts by British makers; whose work ranges from ceramics to textiles, glass and wood. Our aim is to bring you beautiful crafts, all made with skill and an artist’s eye, and inspired by the British countryside.
Jeff established our gallery in an old cook house in Ambleside at the start of his artistic career in 1981, and since those early days our galleries have been a popular destination for art lovers.
With an accumulated knowledge of over 36 years, our experienced team can help you, either in person in our galleries, on the phone or by email, to find a piece of art to enjoy."
