The southern end of the Boardwalk is near the ship shaped Playground equipment, and proceeds past a grassy lawn play area with several picnic benches and Fauna signs. About half way along there is an additional entry to it, but with a couple of steps from the grass, with a stainless steel handrail. It then contours around to the north and NE until level with beachside.

About half way along there are two metal plaques detailing why this locality is now known as Seventeen Seventy (1770), from the landing of the Endeavour by Captain Cook.
