NL Op het plein voor de Hervormde Kerk te Schoonrewoerd zag ik een mooie lindeboom. Deze is omringd met een verguld smeedijzeren hek. Op het hek staat Prinses Beatrix 31 januari 1938 (helaas geen plaquette). Op deze dag werd Prinses Beatrix (later Koningin Beatrix) geboren). Te ere van haar werd een linde geplant. Dat is een traditie bij de troonswisseling van het Nederlandse koningshuis, maar in Schoonrewoerd heeft men ook de geboorte van de prinses willen herdenken. Een mooie boom met een volle kruin.
ENG On the square in front of the Reformed Church in Schoonrewoerd I saw a beautiful lime tree. It is surrounded by a gilded wrought iron gate. On the fence it says Princess Beatrix January 31, 1938 (Unfortunately no plaque). On this day Princess Beatrix (later Queen Beatrix) was born). A lime tree was planted in her honor. That is a tradition at the coronation of the Dutch royal house, but in Schoonrewoerd people also wanted to commemorate the birth of the princess. A beautiful tree with a full crown.
