"Vaduz Cathedral, or Cathedral of St. Florin is a neo-Gothic church in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein.
It was built in 1874 by Friedrich von Schmidt on the site of earlier medieval buildings. The patron saint is Florinus or Remüs (Florin), a saint from the 9th century in the Vinschgau.
The Archdiocese of Vaduz was established by Pope John Paul II in the Apostolic Constitution Ad satius consulendum December 2, 2002. Until then, the Liechtenstein Deanery was part of the Swiss Diocese of Chur. The solemn public ceremony took place on December 12, 1997, in the parish church of Vaduz, which was subsequently elevated to the dignity of a cathedral."
