The former Brooklyn Oil and Gas station is immediately north of Town Hall and the intersection of Routes 6 and 169 in Brooklyn, Connecticut. Clad in wood siding with peeling white paint, its small shed-type building faces east, a hand-painted "DIESEL" sign still hangs from the street side gable end. An island beneath the bungalow-inspired portico once held two fuel pumps, now removed and sitting among overgrowth behind the building. Based on limited information found online, the business opened in 1957 and also operated an oil and kerosene delivery service. A pair of old tanker trucks are parked in a separate two-bay cinder block building just to the southwest.
